Has anyone used one of these and is it stronger than a cast crank or should I stay away from the 5140? I believe if you look at typical crank materials you will see castings, forgings (like 1038, 1045, 1053, 5140, 4130, and 4340) and billet (HIGH DOLLAR). OEM-factory cranks were typically 1038 - 1053. A 5140 steel cranks should actually be considered a step up vs. say a 1053 OEM
