Dec 03, 2018 · RTrickster I got a line on a that takes your stock drive shaft and lath cuts your yokes off and rewelds them in a 4130 molly tube if it's of any interest to you, I think it was 200 bucks. Those OEM welds on the yokes are ridicules, on mine the weld missed the yoke all but about a 1/2".

Page 2 Adventure RiderJan 09, 2015 · The whole point of using 4130 in a SJ type brace would be to make it out of thinner tubing and plate to reduce weight while retaining or maybe even gaining strength. Besides, I don't think you can get the same size tubing in 4130 for the wall thickness being too thick. I have never seen any anyway.

The cradle that holds the tube does not align the tube with the spindle, so the notch would not be centered on the tube. This appears to be due to the "V" cuts in the cradle not being aligned prior to welding. Just poor quality all around. Even the T-handle that secures the tube was not even close to centered.
